Crypto Heatmap

Reading a crypto heatmap is straightforward. Larger rectangles represent cryptocurrencies with higher market caps, like Bitcoin and Ethereum. The color tells you the direction of the price change: green means the price has increased, red means it has decreased, and gray means little to no change. The deeper the color, the larger the percentage move. Hover over any tile to see detailed price, change, and market cap data.

The colors on our heatmap range from deep red to deep green. Deep red indicates a significant price decline (around -10% or more), lighter red shows a moderate drop, gray represents minimal change near 0%, lighter green indicates moderate gains, and deep green signals strong price increases (+10% or more). This color gradient makes it easy to spot which assets are outperforming or underperforming the market.

Each tile's size is proportional to the cryptocurrency's market capitalization. Market cap is calculated by multiplying the current price by the total circulating supply. This means Bitcoin, as the largest cryptocurrency by market cap, always occupies the biggest tile. Smaller-cap coins have proportionally smaller tiles. This sizing gives you an instant visual sense of each coin's relative dominance in the market.

Yes. Our heatmap supports both 24-hour and 7-day price change views. Use the interval picker at the top of the heatmap to switch between these timeframes. The 24h view shows short-term momentum, while the 7d view reveals weekly trends. Both views update the tile colors to reflect the selected period's performance.
