Blockstream Jade

Blockstream Jade is non-custodial and open-source and has not experienced any known hacks, exploits, or scandals. Security features include key storage, PIN protection, a camera-based air-gap signing process, and optional SeedQR recovery. Blockstream Jade uses a virtual secure element design to protect private keys from extraction.

Blockstream Jade was created by Blockstream, a Bitcoin infrastructure company co-founded by Adam Back, Alex Fowler, Austin Hill, Gregory Maxwell, Erik Svenson, Jonathan Wilkins, Jorge Timón, Mark Friedenbach, Matt Corallo, and Pieter Wuille.

Blockstream, the company behind Blockstream Jade, is headquartered in Montréal, Quebec, Canada.

Blockstream Jade connects to the Blockstream Green companion app via USB-C or Bluetooth for transaction management and setup. Blockstream Jade also supports fully air-gapped signing using its built-in camera to scan and display QR codes. The device uses physical buttons for navigation and allows multisig configurations, SeedQR recovery, and stateless signing to enhance privacy and security.
