Review our terms of service

Understand the rules and conditions for using Bitculator, including user responsibilities, platform guidelines, and legal agreements to ensure a safe and transparent experience.

Last updated: 2026-10-02

These terms

These terms are the agreement between you and Bitculator when you use bitculator.com and anything we run on it: the market pages and tools, accounts and public profiles, membership, the data API, the MCP server, embeddable widgets, the spreadsheet add-ons, alarms, portfolios, trading bots, the AI assistant, the shop, the affiliate programme, advertising and our Discord community.

Our privacy notice explains what we do with your personal data and is part of this agreement. By creating an account or buying something you accept these terms; when you create an account we record which version you accepted and when.

We publish these terms in 27 languages. If a translation and the English version disagree, the English version decides - except where the law of your country gives you, as a consumer, the right to rely on the version in your language.

Who you are dealing with

Bitculator is run by the person named at the top of this page, from Denmark. The name, address, email address and telephone number there are our contact details for anything about these terms, your account or a purchase. Email reaches us fastest.

We are a small operation: one person, not a company with a support department. We answer as quickly as we can.

Your account

You must be at least 18 to hold an account. One person may hold one account; extra accounts created to get around free limits may be closed.

You choose a username and a password, or connect a crypto wallet instead of an email address. Keep your password, your recovery codes and your API keys to yourself - anything done with them counts as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into your account.

Keep your email address current: it is how we send receipts, security notices and anything we must tell you by law. If you signed up with a wallet and have no email address on the account, add one in your settings - otherwise the only place we can reach you is the site itself. A username may not impersonate someone else, use someone else's trademark, or be offensive.

What Bitculator is

Bitculator is an information tool for crypto markets. We collect prices, volumes, supply figures, news and other public data, and turn them into pages, charts, scores, alerts, simulations and answers.

Parts of the service are free; others need a paid plan. We add, change and remove features as the product develops - see "Changes and availability" for what we promise when a change affects something you pay for.

We are not an exchange, a broker, a wallet or a payment service. We never hold your crypto or your money, and we cannot place, route or execute a trade for you.

Information, not advice

Nothing on Bitculator is investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. That covers every part of the service: prices and market data, sentiment labels such as bullish or bearish, the fear and greed index, exchange trust scores, market-cycle bands and their labels, rankings, alarms, insights, the AI assistant, trading-bot strategies and their results.

Scores, labels and models are our own opinion, produced automatically from public data. They can be wrong, and they are not tailored to you, your money or your situation. Decisions you take are yours.

Crypto is high risk. Prices move violently and you can lose everything you put in. Past performance - real or simulated - says nothing about the future.

Our data comes from exchanges and other third-party sources and passes through our own processing. It can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and some figures cover only some venues (for example liquidations come from a single exchange). We give no guarantee that any number on the site is accurate or up to date. Check anything that matters before you act on it.

Paid plans and billing

We sell plans for membership, the data API, the MCP server, embeds and trading bots, monthly or yearly. Prices are shown on each product's pricing page in US dollars. If sales tax or VAT applies where you live, it is worked out at checkout and shown before you pay.

Stripe handles the payment. Your plan starts as soon as the payment goes through and renews automatically at the same price until you cancel.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your account, on the same platform where you bought. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan keeps running until the period you have paid for ends. We do not refund the remainder of a period you decided to leave, except where the law gives you that right - see below.

Changing plan. An upgrade starts immediately and Stripe charges the difference for the rest of the period. A downgrade, and a change from yearly to monthly, take effect when the paid period ends - until then you keep what you paid for.

If a payment fails, your plan drops to the free tier until the payment succeeds. Stripe retries and emails you about it. Data you created stays; limits that apply to the free tier apply again.

Price changes. We may change prices for future periods. We tell you at least 30 days before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it does. The price you have already paid never changes.

If you live in Denmark and are a consumer, you can end a running subscription with one month's notice to the end of a month once five months have passed, whatever period you signed up for, and we pay back what you have prepaid for the time after that (forbrugeraftaleloven §§ 28-29). Write to us and we will do it.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a subscription, a service or digital content within 14 days of the day the contract is made, without giving a reason; for goods from the store the 14 days run from delivery (see Physical goods below). Tell us clearly before the 14 days end - an email to the address at the top of this page is enough, and you may use the printed form at the end of these terms. Or use the Withdraw from contract link at the bottom of every page: name the purchase, confirm, and we email you a receipt.

When you buy a subscription you ask us to start it right away. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, you pay for the time you have used and we refund the rest within 14 days of your notice, to the payment method you used.

Bits and virtual items are delivered instantly, and at checkout you ask for that and accept that the withdrawal right ends once we deliver. That is why a Bits purchase cannot be withdrawn afterwards.

After the 14 days, payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it - for example if the service is faulty - or where we end your subscription early, in which case we refund the unused part. Cancelling any time stops the next renewal.

The right of withdrawal belongs to consumers, not to purchases made for business purposes.

Bits, items and games

Bits are an in-app balance you can earn or buy. They are not money, not a currency and not crypto: we never pay Bits out in money, and a Bits balance cannot be transferred to another person. You get a licence to use them inside the service, nothing more, and we owe you nothing for Bits left on an account that ends.

Some things you can buy with Bits - blockchain collectibles in particular - exist outside Bitculator and may be transferable or sellable there. That is the nature of the collectible; it does not make Bits themselves money, and we give no undertaking about what any collectible is worth.

Bits buy items and features in the shop - hats and other cosmetics, extra alarms, favourites, AI questions, extra spins, chests and, where offered, digital collectibles.

Games. The wheels, chests and mystery boxes give random rewards. The odds for chests and boxes are shown before you open them, and the prizes are the ones listed. Free spins refill on a timer; paid spins and chests cost Bits. Prize pools, prices and rewards can change, and we can withdraw a game at any time.

Giveaways and codes. From time to time we run giveaways, including in our Discord community, and issue codes. Entry is free, entrants must be 18 or over, winners are drawn at random, and the prize is whatever the giveaway states. A prize paid in crypto goes to a wallet address you give us, and network fees come out of the prize. Danish prize duty, where it applies, is ours to handle; tax in your own country is yours. We can cancel a giveaway if something goes wrong with it, and we can withhold a prize where entries were manipulated.

Cheating - scripting the games, abusing a bug, opening extra accounts, or manipulating rewards - loses the rewards involved and can close the account.

API, MCP, widgets and connectors

With a key you get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to call our data API, our MCP server, our widgets and our spreadsheet connectors, within your plan's limits, for as long as your plan lasts.

Keys. API and MCP keys are secrets: keep them server-side, never in a public repository or an app you ship. Widget keys are public by design, so restrict them to the domains you register. Everything done with your keys counts as done by you. Rotate or revoke a key in your developer console; we can revoke a key that is abused.

Limits. Each plan has a monthly request quota, a per-minute burst limit, a key count, a page size and, for widgets, the number of domains you may register. Over the quota we answer 429 and nothing is billed on top - there is no overage. Do not work around limits with extra accounts, spoofed referrers or shared keys. The free tier of the data API and the MCP server is for personal, non-commercial use; commercial use of those needs a paid plan. Widgets may be used free within the published attribution rules.

If a paid plan ends, keys you already created keep working within the free tier's limits, and you cannot create new ones above them. Deleting your account removes your keys and webhooks.

What you may not do with what you receive: resell it, redistribute it, publish it as a dataset, mirror it in bulk, or use it to build or feed a competing market-data product. Use it in your own product or page, not as a copy of ours. Third-party content that we pass through - headlines, links, brand names - stays with its owner.

Widgets must keep the "Powered by Bitculator" link visible and unaltered, and must not be cropped, restyled to hide it, or presented as your own data or as an endorsement by us.

Changes. We follow the published API policies: no breaking change inside a version, at least six months' notice before a version is removed or a plan's limits are cut, announced in the changelog and by email to key owners.

No service level. The API, the MCP server and the widgets are provided as a service without an uptime guarantee; the status page is informational. Webhooks are best effort: we attempt a delivery three times and switch an endpoint off after repeated failures, and you must verify the signature on anything you receive.

Our SDKs are published under the MIT licence; using them to call our service is still covered by these terms.

Trading bots

The trading bots are simulations. They test strategies against historical and live prices and show what a strategy would have done. They do not connect to an exchange, cannot place an order and cannot touch your money or your keys.

"Verified", "champion" and similar labels mean only that a strategy passed our own published checks on our own data. They are not a promise of profit and not a recommendation to trade. Simulated results ignore things that cost real money - slippage, outages, fees beyond what the model assumes and your own timing.

The AI assistant

The assistant answers with an AI model. Answers can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, and they are not advice - see "Information, not advice". Do not send it personal data you would not want stored, and do not rely on it for anything that matters without checking.

Silver and Gold include a number of questions each billing period; you can also buy questions with Bits or win them in the games. Questions asked on a coin's page and their answers are cached so the same answer can be reused for other readers asking something similar, without anything that identifies you.

What you post

You keep the rights to what you write or upload - your username, bio, banner, portfolio names, marketplace listings, ad creatives and anything else. You give us permission to store, show and share it as far as running the service needs: on your public profile, in listings, and where you have chosen to make something public.

You are responsible for what you post, and you promise that it is yours to post and breaks no one's rights. Do not post anything illegal, hateful, misleading, someone else's private data, or a scam - including "guaranteed return" claims and pump-and-dump schemes.

What is public. Your profile page can be opened by anyone with the link; it always shows your username, avatar, banner and membership plan, and other details unless you switch them off in your settings. Portfolios are private unless you publish one. Think before you put something there.

You can delete your content, and deleting your account removes it - see "Ending the agreement".

Reporting content, and what we may do about it

Reporting. Anyone can report content or an account that they believe is illegal or breaks these terms: use the contact form and choose "Report content or an account", or email the address at the top of this page. Tell us where it is and why. We look at every report a person sends us, decide, and reply.

What we can do. Depending on what we find, we can remove or hide content, restrict a feature, suspend or close an account, refuse an ad, or suspend an affiliate. We use the mildest step that solves the problem.

Telling you. If we act against your content or your account, we tell you what we did, why, and on what basis - unless the law stops us. You can contest the decision by replying to us; a person looks at it again. If we get it wrong, we put it back.

We report content to the authorities where the law requires it - for example when we suspect a crime that threatens someone's life or safety.

We are a very small provider, so the European rules for larger platforms (internal appeal systems, certified out-of-court bodies, trusted flaggers) do not apply to us, but the process above does.

Using the service fairly

Use Bitculator lawfully and do not spoil it for others. In particular, do not:
- break the law, help others break it, or infringe anyone's rights;
- attack, overload or disrupt the service, or try to get into parts of it you have no right to;
- scrape our pages or copy the site's data in bulk - automated access has a front door: the data API and the MCP server, with a key and inside your plan's limits;
- run more accounts than one, or use tricks to get around quotas, prices, plan limits or a suspension;
- manipulate anything we count or publish: votes, rankings, trust scores, giveaways, referrals, ad views or clicks;
- use the service to promote a scam, a pump-and-dump or misleading financial claims;
- upload malware, or test our security other than as the published security policy allows;
- impersonate us or anyone else, or advertise in places we did not offer for advertising.

The peer-to-peer marketplace

Where the marketplace is available, it is a listings board, nothing more. People post what they want to buy or sell and arrange everything - payment, transfer, delivery - between themselves, away from Bitculator. We are not a party to any of it, we never hold funds or crypto, we run no escrow, and we do not check that a counterparty is honest or that a trade is legal where you live.

If you use it: you deal with the other person at your own risk, you are responsible for your own tax and for any rules that apply to you, and you must not use it for anything illegal. Listings that break these terms are removed.

The affiliate programme

Where the affiliate programme is open, you get a link when you join. When someone who arrives through it signs up and pays, you earn commission at the rate published in your affiliate dashboard, for as long as they keep paying.

A commission is held for 45 days before it can be paid, so refunds and chargebacks can settle. If a payment behind a commission is refunded or charged back, the commission is reversed - if it has already been paid, it comes off your next payout. Payouts are made in USDC to the wallet address you give us, once you reach the published minimum, one request per calendar month, and only with a tax form on file.

You must say clearly that your links are affiliate links wherever you share them, and follow the advertising rules of the places you post. No spam, no unsolicited email, no bidding on our brand name, no cookie stuffing, no self-referral, and no promises about returns. Breaking this, or manipulating referrals, suspends the account and forfeits unpaid commission.

Tax on what you earn is yours to handle. We may change the rate or the rules for future referrals with 30 days' notice, and we may end the programme with the same notice.

Advertising

Ads and sponsored articles are bought through the advertising pages, where that is available. Display ads always carry a "Sponsored" label.

What may not be advertised: anything illegal; crypto services that need a licence in the EEA and do not have one; gambling; promises or suggestions of guaranteed, risk-free or fixed returns; "get rich" schemes; tokens or offerings you are not authorised to promote; adult content; misleading claims, fake urgency or fake endorsements; anything aimed at children.

You confirm that you may run the ad and that it follows these rules. We review every ad before it goes live. You pay when you submit; if we cannot approve the ad, we refund you in full. We can remove a live ad that turns out to break these rules, and refund the views not yet delivered.

Ads are sold as a number of views, filtered for bots as far as we reasonably can. We do not guarantee clicks, conversions, placement position or a delivery date.

Physical goods

Where we sell physical goods, the price at checkout plus the shipping shown is what you pay; customs and import duties in your country are yours.

Delivery times shown are estimates. If something is lost in the post, tell us and we replace it or refund it.

As a consumer you can withdraw from a purchase of goods within 14 days of receiving them, and send them back; you may handle them as you would in a shop, to check their nature, characteristics and how they work, and you are only liable for any loss in value caused by handling them beyond that; you pay the return postage unless we agreed otherwise, and we refund within 14 days of your withdrawal, though we may wait until the goods are back with us or you show proof that you sent them, whichever comes first. Separately, you have the statutory right to complain about a faulty item for two years after delivery (købeloven).

Our content and your feedback

The site, its design, its code, its texts, our name and logo, and the way we assemble and present market data are ours or our licensors'. You may use them to use the service and may quote or share a page with credit, but you may not copy the site, take our data in bulk, or use our name or logo as if we endorsed you.

If you send us feedback, an idea or a bug report, thank you - we may use it to improve the service without owing you anything for it, and you keep the right to use your own idea yourself.

Changes and availability

We want the service up, but we do not promise that it is available without interruption or free of errors. Maintenance, outages at our providers and problems we did not cause can stop it, and we may take parts of it offline.

We may change the service: to keep it secure and legal, to fix or improve it, to follow a provider's change, or because the product moves on. A change to something you pay for must not cost you extra. If a change would make a paid feature clearly worse for you, we tell you in advance by email and you may end the plan free of charge within 30 days, unless we keep the old version available to you (købeloven § 77 b).

Free features can change or end at any time.

When something goes wrong

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. If we cause you a loss, we are liable as Danish law makes us liable, and nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, our liability for death or personal injury, or our liability for intent or gross negligence.

Beyond that we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses - lost profit, lost trades, lost opportunity or lost data - or for decisions you take on the basis of information on the site, and our total liability for anything else is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is higher.

If you use Bitculator for business purposes, you use it at your own risk, the limits above apply fully, and you cover us for claims that come from your use of the service or your content.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time: cancel a plan in your account, or delete your account in your profile settings. Deleting asks for your password, cancels any subscription so nothing is billed again, and hides your profile straight away. You can bring the account back by signing in within 30 days; after that we erase your personal data and keep only what bookkeeping law requires. Paid time you have used is not refunded. Bits and items stop being usable; they are not paid out and they do not come back.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts the service or other people at risk. We tell you why and you can contest it - see "Reporting content". Serious cases (fraud, attacks, illegal content) can take effect at once; otherwise we give you a chance to put it right first. If we close a paid account without it being your fault, we refund the part of the period you have paid for and not used, and the price of any Bits you bought and had not spent.

Sections that are meant to outlast the agreement - what you may not do with our content, liability, and the law that applies - stay in force afterwards.

Messages from us

We send you service messages about your account, security and purchases, such as receipts and notices about your subscription - these come with having an account. We only send newsletters or other marketing if you asked for them. If you buy a subscription, we may also email you now and then about features like the ones you bought; every such email says how to stop them, and you can opt out at any time by writing to us or in your profile settings.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed. If we make a material change, we tell customers with an active subscription by email and announce it on the site at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription before then. Changes required by law, or needed to fix an error or a security issue, may take effect sooner.

If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.

Law and where disputes go

Danish law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, that choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can always bring a case in the courts where you live - as can we, if we ever have to bring one against you.

If you use the service for business purposes, disputes go to the Danish courts, with the City Court of Copenhagen as the first instance.

Complaints

If something goes wrong, contact us first at the address at the top of this page and we will try to solve it. If we cannot agree, consumers can complain to the Danish Complaints Resolution Centre (Center for Klageløsning), Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark, at www.forbrug.dk. Consumers who live in another EU country can also get help from the European Consumer Centre in their country.
