FTX Token

FTX Token was developed and deployed back in May 2019, by the team behind the FTX Exchange, led by the founders Sam Bankman-Fried and Gary Wang. In November 2022, the FTX Exchange entered a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and since then a huge scandal has been unfolding resulting in more than 25 years of jail time for Sam Bankman-Fried because the court found him guilty of misappropriating billions of dollars of customer funds deposited within the FTX Exchange.

FTT's primary function was to enhance user experience and loyalty on the FTX exchange, with features such as token burn mechanisms reducing circulating supply, trading fee reductions, and service discounts.

Despite its promising features, FTX Token faces several challenges:

• Dependence: The token's value is heavily tied to the success of the FTX exchange itself.
• Competition: Competes with other exchange tokens and platforms offering similar benefits.
• Volatility: As the FTX exchange went bankrupt the price of FTT fell dramatically.
