Quant

Quant is founded by Gilbert Verdian, who has a strong background in cybersecurity and technology management, having previously held executive roles at major corporations and government organizations. The project has been developed to tackle the lack of interoperability among multiple blockchain networks, facilitating seamless integrations for enterprises. A notable event in the project's timeline was the launch of its Overledger Network. Quant raised funds through an ICO in 2018 raising $11 million for $1.10 per QNT token.

Quant does not require its own consensus mechanism as it uses the security of the underlying blockchains it connects. Instead, it enhances the capabilities of existing blockchains, offering a suite of APIs to enable scalable dApp development and cross-chain interactions through its Multi-chain App (MApp) store, allowing developers to create applications that can run on multiple blockchains simultaneously.
