THETA

THETA was co-founded by Mitch Liu and Jieyi Long. THETA was developed to solve issues related to the inefficiencies of traditional content delivery networks in the streaming industry by incentivizing a decentralized network of users to relay video streams and contribute idle bandwidth and computing resources. The project launched its mainnet in 2019.

THETA uses a Proof-of-Stake (PoS). It achieves a high transaction throughput of up to 1,000 transactions per second with a block time time of 10-20 seconds. The network incentivizes users to share bandwidth and computing resources by rewarding them with tokens, making the platform more robust and efficient.

THETA offers several distinct features:
