Conflux

Conflux was founded by a team of researchers and entrepreneurs back in 2018, namely, Fan Long, YuanJie Zhang and Ming Wu. The team has a strong academic background in computer science and a deep knowledge of blockchain technology. Conflux has gone through several different funding rounds ranging from early private sales, and seed rounds, to grants, raising an impressive amount of money to secure the project's continued operations, the funding has secured the project more than $100.000.000 U.S. Dollars. The project successfully launched its mainnet back in October 2020, proving its ideas and visionary technology to be valid and functional in practice.

Conflux has developed a somewhat unique Proof of Work consensus mechanism that allows their blockchain to process blocks in parallel, the team calls their algorithm 'Tree-Graph Consensus', their approach makes it possible for the network to process transactions very quickly, efficiently, and securely which allows the chain to overcome many different problems while still having efficient anti-reentrance attack protection. Their algorithm lets the Conflux chain achieve an amazing throughput of up to 3,000 transactions per second this number is significantly higher than all of the traditional Proof of Work chains, making it one of the fastest Proof of Work blockchain platforms currently available. The average block time on the Conflux network is around 1 second which is extremely low, this feature allows the chain to handle transaction confirmation quickly. This combination of high throughput and low latency is important when the goal is to support effective decentralized applications and services that typically need to process transactions/interactions very quickly. Conflux has also developed its own bridge functionality that made it possible for interoperability with other blockchains.
