ICON

ICON was founded by Min Kim, who has a background in tech investments and was a former advisor at DAYLI Financial Group. The project was developed to create a hyperconnected world by building one of the largest decentralized networks that link various institutions and communities. ICON raised funds through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2017 raising $42 million with a price of $0.11, and a series A round in 2019 for $8 million. Major historical events include the launch of the ICON mainnet in early 2018.

ICON uses the Loop Fault Tolerance (LFT) consensus mechanism, which allows it to maintain network security while handling multiple transactions. ICON's network can achieve up to 9,000 transactions per second, with a block time of 2 seconds. The platform's architecture includes a central blockchain, known as "The Nexus", which connects various community chains and makes high scalability and flexibility possible.
