Secret

Secret Network was founded by Guy Zyskind, a respected figure with a strong background in computer science and privacy technologies. The project initially launched as "Enigma" in 2017, however, the network rebranded to Secret in 2020, emphasizing its mission to integrate privacy into decentralized solutions.

Secret Network uses a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism allowing the network to handle up to 10,000 transactions per second in optimal settings. The targeted block time is around 6 seconds. Secret's unique features make it possible for private computations through "Secret Contracts" which allow developers to build decentralized applications that respect user privacy, addressing data protection needs without sacrificing blockchain transparency.
