BlockWallet has not experienced any major scandals, hacks, or criminal charges. BlockWallet is non-custodial, open-sourcel and prioritizes user privacy by blocking trackers and protecting metadata. Private keys are stored locally on the user’s device and never shared with third parties.

BlockWallet was developed by a team of privacy-focused blockchain developers and security experts. The wallet was launched to provide users with a safer, more private alternative to traditional browser-based crypto wallets.

The company behind BlockWallet is headquartered in Tallinn, Lithuania. BlockWallet has not undergone any rebranding since its launch.

BlockWallet is installable as a browser extension making it possible for users to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain networks while keeping their activity private. BlockWallet works by masking user data, preventing tracking, and ensuring all private keys are generated and stored locally. Transactions are signed and approved directly within the wallet interface by the user.
