Brave Wallet was created by Brave Software, the company behind the Brave browser. Brave Software was co-founded by Brendan Eich, the inventor of JavaScript and co-founder of Mozilla.

Brave Wallet is built directly into the Brave browser, eliminating the need for extensions. Brave Wallet makes it possible for users to store, send, receive, and swap different cryptocurrencies across multiple networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and more. Private keys are generated and stored locally on the user’s device, secured via password and recovery phrase. Brave Wallet also supports interaction with decentralized applications (dApps) directly through the browser.
