Theta Fuel

The Theta blockchain project, and thereby also Theta Fuel (TFUEL) was founded by Mitch Liu, who has a strong and extensive knowledge in the tech and media industry. The development of Theta Fuel has highly been driven by the ever-growing demand for high-quality video streaming services and the need for a much more efficient and cost-effective solution compared to what the established/traditional providers are capable of offering, streaming video is by default very expensive. Theta Fuel was launched alongside the Theta Network back in 2019 and has since its launch gained a lot of attention for its innovative and 'green' approach to decentralized video streaming.

Thetha's blockchain works by using a unique proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, this approach allows users to stake their Theta (THETA) coins to help secure the network and validate transactions, and in return users earn Theta Fuel (TFUEL).
