Zengo is non-custodial and closed source and has not experienced any hacks, exploits, scandals, or criminal charges. Zengo uses MPC cryptography, biometrics, recovery files, and email verification.

Zengo was created by Zengo Ltd, co-founded by Gary Benattar, Omer Shlomovits , Tal Be’ery , and Ouriel Ohayon.

Zengo Ltd, the company behind Zengo, is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Zengo can be accessed through a mobile app that uses MPC cryptography to generate and manage private keys. Zengo is set up through the Zengo App, which handles wallet creation, biometric 3D FaceLock enrollment, and recovery kit generation. Zengo connects directly to mobile and Web3 applications, enabling transactions via integrated buy, swap, NFT, and DeFi tools without USB or hardware dependency.

Zengo was launched March 15, 2019.
